Stephen Leacock

Stephen Butler Leacock (1869-1944) was a British-Canadian writer and economist. He was born in Swanmore, Hampshire, and educated at the University of Toronto, later becoming a lecturer and head of the economics faculty at McGill University. He had a secondary career as a writer of biographies and of humorous short stories and articles.
