Fluid
A subset of the phases of matter, fluids encompass liquids and gases (and plasmas).
They share the properties of not resisting deformation, the ability to flow (perhaps otherwise described as their ability to take on the shape of their containers). See also fluid mechanics, rheology and thermodynamics.
